Ship Arrival Procedures
- Arrival Notification: Shipowners or agents must submit an advance notice before the vessel docks, including details on nationality, dimensions, tonnage, cargo, and crew members.
- Information Verification: The port authority reviews and confirms vessel details, cargo, and any special requirements.
- Berthing Coordination: The port director designates a suitable docking position based on the type of ship and cargo.
Ship Departure Procedures
- Electronic Declaration: Shipowners or agents must submit departure details through the national single-window system.
- Information Verification: The port authority inspects the ship’s condition, cargo, and ensures compliance with maritime safety, quarantine, and environmental regulations.
Departure Authorization: Once all requirements are fulfilled, ships receive an electronic departure permit.

- Cái Mép - Thị Vải Port – Highly ranked in operational capacity and efficiency, featuring direct shipping routes to the U.S. and Europe.
- Gemalink Port – Located in the Cái Mép - Thị Vải area, capable of accommodating the world’s largest container ships, with a capacity of up to 232,000 DWT.
